Our Camp Leaders
Our camp leaders include educators, social workers and health professionals that have many years of experience working with children of all ages.
Dustin joined the Camp Morty directing team in 2009 as the Waterfront Director and has worked in almost every area of camp before becoming the Camp Director in 2014. Dustin oversees all aspects of the camp’s operation year round. Dustin has a wealth of experience working with children and young adults. Dustin graduated in 2010 from Saint Michael’s College in Vermont with a degree in Elementary Education and Theater, and since has worked extensively in college admissions. Currently, Dustin lives in the Boston area and works in university admissions. Dustin can be reached by email or at 914-562-2990.
Assistant Camp Director
Lillie joined the Camp Morty Staff in 2012 as a counselor for the youngest girls and also worked as the girls head counselor before joining the directing team for the 2017 camp season. Lillie assists Dustin and Tanner in selecting staff members for the summer team and manages all aspects of the camps residential life program including the summer food service program. Lillie attended Iowa State University and graduated in 2015 with a degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice. She currently works with at-risk kids at an alternative middle school in Iowa and also spends time working with children and teens in residential care. Assistant Camp Director
Tanner joined the Morty team in 2012 as a counselor for our youngest boys and held a variety of roles at camp including boys head counselor and junior camp director before becoming an Assistant Director on 2017. Tanner works year round to ensure the camp program runs smoothly. He recruits and hires staff, our Counselors in Training (CITs) and oversees the camp schedules and programming. He also is the point of contact for many of the vendors used by the camp. Tanner graduated from Sonoma State University in 2015 with a degree in English Education and spends most of the year in a classroom anxiously counting down the days until summer! Stephanie joined our team in 2015 as our summer office manager and in 2016 stepped up to take the lead on camper enrollment. Stephanie manages all aspect of the camper recruitment and application process for Camp Morty. She answers questions about camp, oversees the camper application, assigns campers camp sessions, and works with our partner agencies to ensure camp is always full! In addition to her year round duties at Camp Morty, Stephanie also serves as instructor for Digital Art and Animation at Naugatuck Valley Community College in Waterbury, CT. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from University of Connecticut in 2003 and completed her MFA at Rochester Institute of Technolgy in 2007. Dustin, Lillie, Tanner and Stephanie are joined by a team of other seasonal directors that help supervise various areas of camp during the summer months. All members of the directing team live on-site while campers are present. The team includes a health director, social worker and 3 division directors who serve as a source of support for our junior and teen campers and their counselors, and programming leaders.
