Staff FAQ

Accommodations vary based upon position held. All general counselors, instructors and lifeguards live in yurts with their assigned yurt group. This means staff live with campers in shared spaces.
Camp administrators stay on-site in other housing facilities throughout the property.

All meals are freshly prepared by a professional kitchen staff. Three quality nutritious meals a day and a snack are served in the dining hall. Vegetarian options are part of the daily menu.

Time off varies on based on position, but in general most staff receives one meal off and at least an hour off each day. Additionally, staff are given time off from Friday evening until Sunday morning each week.

Our staff is made up of mature and dedicated students and young professionals. Most of our staff members are in university or are recent graduates, and our average staff age is just over 21. Our staff comes from across the US and the world! In the past years, we’ve recruited international staff through Camp America from countries across Europe and we’ve even had staff members from as far away as Australia!

All staff are paid for days worked in accordance with their contract. Staff are paid biweekly via direct deposit.
